William King

Will co-founded Waymark Architecture in July 2015 with the objective to effect change within the building industry. He and his family live, work and play on the sunny shores of Victoria, BC. Aside from his work with Waymark Architecture, he is also the Chair of the Oak Bay Advisory Design Panel and a member of the Victoria Advisory Design Panel.

In his spare time, Will studies music, math and geometry.

Graeme Verhulst

Principal
Architect AIBC, MRAIC, CPHD

Graeme is a founding principal of Waymark Architecture and a keen advocate for advanced building science. He is one of the first architects in BC trained to design to the stringent International Passive House Standard, the world’s leading approach to energy in buildings. Graeme is also past chair of the Vancouver Island Chapter of the AIBC and sits on the Township of Esquimalt's Design Review Committee.

Graeme spends his time with his young family and his garden.

 
 

Sarah King

Managing Director
BA, MA

Sarah is an IT-director-turned-managing-director with over 13 years of experience managing people in the IT industry. Bringing these skills to Waymark Architecture, she is focused on getting things done, from leading marketing efforts to day-to-day project management.

Sarah is an avid cyclist and a member of the organizing committee for the annual TripleShot CrossFondo.

Omar Enriquez Mendez

Intern Architect, AIBC

Omar is an Intern Architect who brings eight years of architectural experience after having first lived in Edmonton, then in Calgary and Vancouver. Omar brings his enthusiasm and skills in design, project documentation and Vectorworks knowledge.

Omar is interested in anthropology and human evolution. When Omar is not studying, he likes to explore outdoor gems and have new adventures with his wife.

Shari Khadem

Intern Architect, AIBC

Shari is an intern architect who started her career in her hometown of Isfahan, Iran, a UNESCO World Heritage City. In Isfahan, Shari worked as an architect on a number of projects for the rehabilitation of the downtown area of Isfahan, working with unique building types and organic textures. Shari immigrated to Canada in 2010 and has spent the last ten years working in Victoria, BC.

Shari loves travelling and spending time with her husband and daughter. In her spare time, Shari also sings in Farsi.
